Hey, how about that? I managed to do a blog post for the second Monday in a row.
Hey, baby steps, amiright? Building habits takes a hot second, but I'm well on my way to making this a regular occurrence.
Let's talk Valkyries first because I'm so freaking excited. The Valkyries Initiative anthology releases on Friday, 16 Sep, complete with a CKP Live book launch event on YouTube that yours truly will absolutely be participating in. Can you say shenanigans? I can promise you ALL the shenanigans. I'll also be doing a number of FB posts in the next week and a half running up to the release itself so standby for awesomeness.
In other news, I've made steady progress on my active projects since last week. Salvage Bunny 2 officially crossed over the 100K line. That rough draft is gonna be a beast when I'm done, but I'm too busy cackling to care. Space Hyenas 2 is creeping up on the 50K mark, and my goal is to hit it tonight.
Some writers (Nick Steverson, cough cough), can dump out thousands of words in one sitting. I'm more like a draft horse, steadily plodding along at about 1K a day.
Don't look at me like that. I'm a horse girl at heart, and if I can find a way to make a horse analogy about something, I probably will LOL.
Speaking of horses, Nick and I maaaaay have created a race of horse-like beings in the Salvage Title Universe called the Ahkal-Tiki. They're very pretty, and colorful, and bouncy, and...look.
My kids made me sit through every episode of MLP in existence. I know allllll the songs. I can still sing them by heart. I'm getting revenge, and I regret nothing. Nothing!
That's it for now. I've got to keep up with that crazy Steverson dude and hit my word count goal for today. He challenged me to write 3.6K. Did I mention he's crazy? Also, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. Spoiler alert, I'm kinda crazy too ; )
